I love being in my room with my little sister making my own lipgloss. It's a good way to save money and have the shade that you most want. It's safe: here are some directions.
You will need:
Old Eyeshadow, Blush or Pigment (make sure it will not cause you allergic reaction)
Petrolium Jelly. It looks like this:
The first step is to crush the old eyeshadow, just a small amount and pour it into a Zip-Lock Bag (recommended) or some kind or bowl or cup. I used a cupcake liner, lol.
Put a little bit of petrolium jelly in the container, more or less depending on how light or dark you want the color. mix it up until the color is right and BAMM! You have your own lipgloss. You can put it in a container or leave it in whatever you are using. If you used the Zip-Lock bag you can tear a tiny hole in one of the corners and squirt it into the container.
If you need an applicator:
You can get one around the house or make your own. Get an old cap, preferably very thick like one of an old marker and put in a cotton ball so that it sticks out a bit. Rub it in the lipgloss and apply.
The good thing about this is that if you need something quick or want something new like blue or purple you can get it done quick.
If you get blemishes on your skin (even if you did not misuse it) then a parent or anyone else who takes care of you can use a blemish cream. Washing your face thouroughly and often is recommended if this occours.
